Many people request photographs or drawings that can be used for designing a safety poster or to illustrate a safety speech.
Out of respect for the families of highway-rail grade crossing and pedestrian trespassing tragedies, Operation Lifesaver, Inc., strongly recommends that images related to actual deaths or injuries NOT BE USED for such purposes, even if they come from a newspaper or magazine and are in the public domain, unless written permission has been given by the immediate family of the person who died or was injured.
