Student Drivers

This program has been produced for young people 13 to 17 years of age.  The information contained in this program increases awareness of the potential dangers around railroad tracks, crossings and yards.

"Die Hard...If You're Dumb" is sponsored by Operation Lifesaver, Inc., a nationwide, nonprofit public information and education organization dedicated to eliminating collisions, injuries, and fatalities at highway-rail grade crossings and trespassing on railroad rights-of-way.  All 49 continental United States have ongoing, statewide Operation Lifesaver programs.  These programs have contributed significantly to a more than 70 percent reduction in crashes and casualties since 1972, despite a nationwide increase in train and vehicle traffic.
